Common questions

Useful to know before you call.

Can you cut every type of key?

The current service covers most residential key types. Send a clear photograph or call with the key details if you are unsure.

Should I pull a broken key out myself?

Avoid forcing tools or glue into the keyway. That can push the fragment deeper or damage the lock, making the repair harder.

Will the lock need replacing after a key breaks?

Not necessarily. Once the fragment is removed, the lock can be checked to find out whether the key failed from wear or because the lock itself is binding.
